Day 01: Marrakech Airport – Marrakech

Pick-up at the airport of Marrakech and transfer to the hotel. Free time to get a first taste of the famous Jemaa el-Fna square. Overnight at a riad.

Day 02: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

Leaving Marrakech, we will take the motorway to Casablanca, where we will visit the spectacular Hassan II Mosque. We will continue to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where we will see the Méchouar (the ramps and walls surrounding the Royal Palace), have lunch along the way, and visit the Kasbah of the Udayas and the magnificent Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan II. We will spend the night in Rabat.

Day 03: Rabat – Meknes – Fez

After breakfast we will head to Meknes, where you can visit palaces and beautiful mosques as well as one of the most important souks in Morocco. After lunch along the way, we will continue to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will spend the night in Fez.

Day 04: Guided tour of Fez

The fourth day is entirely devoted to discovering Fez with a local guide. Fez is Morocco’s oldest imperial city. We will spend the night in Fez.

Day 05: Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Leaving Fez, we will head south through Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco) and the cedar forests of Azrou, where we will see the monkeys that live there. Free lunch along the way. We will cross the Ziz Valley and its gorges and pass through towns such as Midelt and Erfoud. From Erfoud we will take a desert track to Merzouga, where we will sleep in a hotel near the dunes.

Day 06: Merzouga Desert

The sixth day is entirely devoted to enjoying the desert. We will cross the dunes by 4×4, visit nomad villages, see oases and ride over the Erg Chebbi dunes (special lunch with Berber pizza, the desert specialty). We will visit the famous village of Khamlia and enjoy its traditional music. At sunset we will take the camels to the Berber camp in the heart of the dunes, where we will have dinner and spend the night in tents.

Day 7: Merzouga – Todra and Dades Gorges

After enjoying the desert sunrise, we will ride the camels back to the hotel, where we will have breakfast and can shower. Leaving Merzouga, we will head to the Todra Gorges, passing through Berber villages. Free lunch along the way. Finally we will reach the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night.

Day 08: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will take the «Road of a Thousand Kasbahs» and, after visiting the nomads who live in the caves of the Valley of Roses, we will have lunch on the way. We will have free time to explore the area. On arrival in Ouarzazate, Morocco’s famous Hollywood where many American films are shot, we will have dinner and stay at the riad.

Day 09: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

On the last day, we will visit the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the most famous in Morocco. We will have lunch on the way, in the mountains, and then continue north across the Atlas range via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, at 2,260 meters. We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.
