Ouzoud excursion from Marrakech

The Ouzoud waterfalls, about 150 km from Marrakech in the Middle Atlas, drop some 110 meters in several cascades. They are the highest in Morocco and one of the most recommended day trips from Marrakech, especially in summer, to escape the heat of the red city. A local guide will take you along the trails that run from the top to the bottom of the falls; at the top a few old mills still work, and during the walk it is common to see Barbary macaques in the wild. You can also cross the river in small boats to see the falls from below. Several local and national associations work to protect this natural area. After the walk, we will have lunch on one of the terraces overlooking the falls and return to Marrakech in the afternoon.
